Important update for RAF claimants ๐Ÿšจ

A recent court ruling has ordered the Road Accident Fund to allow thousands of previously rejected claims to be re-submitted after the Supreme Court of Appeal found that stricter RAF claim requirements unfairly prevented many victims from accessing compensation. Claimants may now have an opportunity to revive claims that were previously declined.

The Road Accident Fund is set to implement a campaign to assist claimants whose claims were rejected due to new requirements, following a Supreme Court ruling that deemed these rules unfair.

What a ruling...!!!!!

The Constitutional Court has ruled that men may assume their wivesโ€™ surnames, declaring Section 26(1)(a) to (c) of the Births and Deaths Registration Act unconstitutional insofar as it unfairly discriminates on the basis of gender, by failing to afford men the right to assume the surname of women after marriage.
