The Johannesburg Children’s Home (JCH) cares for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) who have faced physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, severe neglect, abandonment, and those affected or infected by HIV/AIDS. At JCH, these children begin a new life, living communally in cottages under the loving care of trained Child and Youth Care Workers.

How to Get Involved:

Pack and deliver a dignity pack (toiletries & feminine hygiene products) to invest in a young girl’s journey to womanhood. The home also accepts deliveries of food, clothing, and more.
Donate via their website. Choose to contribute towards education, toiletries, food, or whatever is most needed.
Let’s join hands to support these children and give them the care and love they deserve.

The Princess Project South Africa boosts self-confidence and celebrates individual beauty by providing access to prom dresses and accessories to teens who might otherwise miss their special event. This wonderful effort thrives thanks to the support of volunteers, donors, and the community.

How to Get Involved:

Deliver your loved (but no longer worn) dresses and formal wear to our Cape Town office. We’ll ensure they reach the Princess Project to help young women feel beautiful on their special days. The project also accepts casual wear and men’s formal wear because boys deserve to feel beautiful too!

Let’s come together to make a difference and help every teen shine!

Did you know that 3 in 10 girls miss a week of school each month due to period poverty? The MENstruation Foundation is dedicated to changing this.

What They’re About:
Every month, approximately 22 million South African women have their period, with 35% having to choose between a loaf of bread and sanitary products. Over 4 million women in schools, universities, and sport clinics miss education and training for an average of 5 days per month due to lack of access to sanitary products. Period poverty disempowers too many women in our society – but we can address it.

How to Get Involved:

Donate R120 via their website to provide a schoolgirl with sanitary pads for a whole year.
Buy a pair of Sexy Socks for R200 and support a schoolgirl with sanitary pads for a year while sporting your own stylish socks.
Together, we can make a real difference.

Bravo Mr President!!! President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Mandisa Maya as South Africa's first female Chief Justice with effect from 1 September 2024.

“Today we have a female Chief Justice. This appointment signifies the deeper appreciation of how far we have come as a nation and how much our courts have transformed, both in terms of race and gender. It signifies the transformation agenda of what was previously a male-dominated judiciary,” said Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Thembi Simelane.

MEET THE TEAM: Rather late than never! This year has been such a firecracker that we’ve blinked and its July! And we haven’t even introduced you to our “not-so-new-anymore” candidate attorney! This is Radha, our newest addition to the team! She’s cute, bubbly and has the warmest smile you’ll ever see! But don’t let her friendly nature fool you! This young lady has already conquered mountains and continues to do so on a daily basis! She’s been put through the ringer assisting on urgent application after urgent application… and still she arrives to work smiling! She started drafting, she knows the courts like the back of her hand and has even notched up a couple of Magistrates’ court appearances herself. We’re very impressed and excited for what her legal career holds in store!

Radha in her own words: "I'm a compassionate and curious individual driven by a passion to make the world a better place, one small step at a time. With a heart full of kindness and a mind full of wonder, I strive to leave a positive impact through my actions, no matter how small.

I believe that hard work, determination, and a willingness to learn are the keys to creating meaningful change.

I'm dedicated to doing my part, no matter how small, to make a difference and leave the world a little brighter than I found it."
