This is the reason firearm owners must support organisations like Natshoot.
Natshoot is closely monitoring the ongoing legal and regulatory dispute relating to firearm training accreditation in South Africa.
At the centre of the matter is the future of the current firearm training qualification framework, which impacts firearm proficiency training, competency applications, training providers, and the broader fi****ms industry.
The current interim court arrangement remains in place until 30 June 2026, while decisions regarding the future of the qualification framework are considered.
Natshoot will be making formal submissions to Parliament in support of:
✅ Maintaining high training standards
✅ Protecting lawful firearm ownership
✅ Ensuring industry stability and continuity
✅ Preventing unnecessary disruption to training and competency processes
This matter affects not only firearm owners, but also public safety, training quality, and thousands of industry-related jobs across South Africa.
We encourage Natshoot members and the public to stay informed through credible sources as the process develops.
