Remember ANYONE who participated in Mooting this year whether you only took part in the first round or got all the way through to the semi-finals or Supreme Court final. You ALL have a certificate to collect so please come along to the Mooting Reception this Tuesday the 1st April between 4-6pm in the Senior Common Room in the Law School. Hopefully see you all there! :) P.s Free wine and Free food!!!!!!

Voting closes at 5pm today for the Law Society elections make sure you vote!!!!! You should have a say over who makes up YOUR law society next year!!!!!

A final reminder that nominations for a position on the Law Society Executive 2014-15 close at 5pm today.

Currently the positions of Academic Officer, Publicity Officer, Mooting Officer, Secretary, Social Secretaries and Sports Secretary are uncontested. However this is changing by the minute.

It is not too late to submit your nomination! Simply email a 250 word manifesto (or 300 for President) to [email protected].

Nominations for the Law Society Committee 2014-15 Close TOMORROW!!! Yet still no one willing to take over from me as Mooting Officer :( I hope I didn't scare you all off! It was a fantastic year for Cardiff Mooting and It would be great to see it grown from strength to strength next year. Being part of the Law Executive was one of the best things I have done at university so please consider running!!! :) x

Law Society Elections
Please email a Manifesto to [email protected]. Manifestos should be 250 words for candidates except those running for the position of President, these should be 300 words. Nominations will close at 17:00 on the 24th of March.

Hustings will take place Wednesday 26th March in Room 2.27 at 18:00. Candidates will speak for 2 minutes, apart from those running for the position of President who are required to talk for 3 minutes.

Voting will commence at 23:59 26th March online. Details on how to do this will be released with the manifestos.

SO nominations are now open after the AGM yesterday this means you can now submit your application to become the mooting officer 2014/15. Do you want to join the law committee executive and help organise all the mooting activities next year then I would definitely recommend putting yourself forward. This has been the most amazing year and I can not recommend this role enough. I have had so much fun and achieved so much its going to be sad to pass it over, if I could stay I would. Congratulations to the winners of the Supreme Court Finals which took place this Wednesday. Second year winners: Jade Cox And George Part. Third year and GDL winners: Daniel Godfrey and William Rees. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. Finally, Thank you to Supreme Court Justice Lord Clarke for giving up his time to judge!
