In the framework of Mr. Salem Abdelhadi Bouzreeda’s dedicated oversight as President of the Libyan Relief and Humanitarian Aid Agency, and in his keenness to follow up on operations, he visited—on Thursday, 24 April 2025—accompanied by Mr. Anas Al-Falah, Project Manager for the World Food Programme, the WFP’s food-distribution center run by the Agency’s Operations Team in Benghazi, where they oversaw the distribution of aid to refugees.

Mr. Bouzreeda praised the efforts made to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters who have sought refuge from the sisterly Republic of Sudan, and he listened attentively to their feedback and observations.

He also called for the continued provision of humanitarian assistance in accordance with the directives of the Prime Minister of Libya and the General Command of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces.

The Operations Team of the Western Region Branch in Tripoli Continues Distributing Humanitarian Aid to Sudanese Families …

On Tuesday, *April 22, 2025*, the Operations Team of the Libyan Relief Authority’s Western Region Branch in Tripoli continued distributing shelter assistance provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), targeting 800 families to date, with distributions still underway.

This effort reflects the ongoing partnership between the Authority and UNHCR, demonstrating their commitment to delivering humanitarian support to those most in need.

This activity is part of a series of programs implemented by the Authority to alleviate the suffering of Sudanese refugee households and to meet their basic needs in accordance with international humanitarian standards.

On April *22, 2025*, the Employee Affairs Committee of the Libyan Relief Authority convened its second meeting of the year, chaired by Mr. Hossam Afhima, Head of the Committee. Committee members in attendance included Ms. Halima Al-Farawi, Ms. Amina Al-Matroudi, Mr. Youssef Al-Matroudi, Mr. Anas Al-Fallah, Mr. Khalil Al‑Aqouri, Mr. Tarek Al‑Sahati, and Mr. Ahmed Hussein Saleh, representative of the Ministry of Civil Service.

During the session, the Committee reviewed measures taken to regularize employees’ job statuses and the procedures implemented for the promotion of eligible staff members.

A Coordination Meeting Between the Authority and the Center for Social Studies to Strengthen Joint Cooperation ….

Within the framework of enhancing cooperation among national institutions, the Vice Chairman of the Authority’s Board of Directors held a fruitful meeting with Mr. Haitham Abdelsalam Al-Mabrouk, Chairman of the Board of the Center for Social Studies, to explore avenues of joint cooperation in serving vulnerable families.

During the meeting, mechanisms for data exchange between the two parties were discussed, as well as coordination on implementing programs and initiatives aimed at supporting at‑risk groups and achieving a positive, sustainable impact on society.

This meeting forms part of ongoing joint efforts to unify endeavors and integrate roles, ensuring access to the greatest possible number of beneficiaries and delivering an effective response to their social and economic needs.

Humanitarian Aid Reaches Over 140 Libyan Families in Benghazi

On Monday, April 21, 2025, the Libyan Humanitarian Relief Agency, with support from the UNHCR, delivered shelter assistance to Libyan families in Benghazi. The aid included mattresses, winter blankets, cooking utensils, solar-powered lamps, and personal care packages.
Mr. Ahmed Al-Obaidi, UNHCR Project Manager, stated that 140 Libyan families benefited from this support.
