We’re proud to announce Daniela Abratt-Cohen as our firm’s newest partner. Daniela has been a valuable member of the TLo team since 2018, and has worked extremely hard not only to uphold the job she was hired to do but also to look for ways to improve the effectiveness of the firm, grow the firm’s presence in the community, and embody the firm’s values to every client.
Daniela has worked effectively to defend and champion free speech and public access rights for her media clients, and has been recognized for those efforts by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Media and Advertising each year since 2021. A Deputy Editor for the ABA’s Communications Lawyer publication and a frequent contributor to the Media Law Resource Center’s MediaLawLetter, Daniela has also served as a speaker at the First Amendment Foundation’s Sunshine Seminar as well as a moderator and panelist at the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms’ (NAMWOLF) annual conferences.
Daniela is also involved her community in a variety of ways. She served a two-year term on the Board of Directors for the Broward County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, and served for a number of years as the Philanthropy Chair of the NAMWOLF Emerging Leaders Initiative. She also sings with the Master Chorale of South Florida, for which she also assists with fundraising and marketing efforts.
Prior to joining the firm, Daniela served as a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Daniela graduated from the Florida International University College of Law in 2015. While in law school, she clerked at the Florida Supreme Court and the Florida Third District Court of Appeal. She received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism, with a minor in International Humanitarian Assistance, from the University of Florida in 2012.
