WOW. What a week! Our office was fortunate to bookend the week with two EXTREMELY favorable judgments on behalf of our clients!

On Monday, we were in the Macomb County Circuit Court on behalf of a client who had paid a contractor $26,250.00, only to have the contractor run off with the money! Not only were we able to earn a judgment for the $26,250, but the Judge awarded additional damages because of the Defendant's egregious behavior. The total judgment we obtained for our client was $200,000!

This morning, we were in the Wayne County Circuit Court for a client that had loaned money to a former employee. The former employee not only refused to pay back the loans but threatened to kill our client when he asked for the money back. Not only were we able to obtain a judgment for the amount of the loan, but the Judge awarded $2,000,000.00 in exemplary damages because of how horrible the Defendant's actions were.

$2,225,000.00 in judgments on behalf of our clients this week!

I got my start in foreclosure defense many years ago during the peak of the financial meltdown. One of the things I learned back then was these are INCREDIBLY hard cases to win. The laws are stacked in favor of the banks. Frustrating to say the least.

We still take on the banks in select cases today. The laws aren’t any better than they were 10+ years ago. That’s why I’m so proud to announce that we saved not one, but TWO homes from foreclosure today. In one of the cases the Bailiff was literally on the person’s front porch this week to begin the eviction. Cases like this are why we do what we do!

Today our office obtained a $435,000 judgment in a dispute between construction contractors! Very proud to represent such great people and make sure that they get paid for their hard work!

Last night I had the honor of co-hosting an Expert Forum on cell towers. For those that don’t know, my community here in Wyandotte has faced a nightmare scenario. T-Mobile placed a cell tower on my kids’ elementary school. The video below will show you EXACTLY why I call this a nightmare scenario.

This could happen anywhere. Here’s the thing… we’re not going to let it. I will fight until my dying breath for my family and this community. T-Mobile thought they were the biggest bully on the block. They were wrong. We WILL win this fight.
