🚨 FACT CHECK: $500 ACA/OBAMACARE REFUND

Yes, the information circulating about the $500 ACA refund is TRUE. The federal government has announced one-time $500 payments to nearly 1 million eligible ACA enrollees in 30 states, including Florida.

However, NOT everyone with Obamacare/Marketplace insurance will receive $500. The payments are primarily for people who purchased coverage through HealthCare.gov and did NOT receive premium assistance/tax credits toward their insurance premiums.

There is currently no application required, and simply having a Form 1095-A does not automatically mean you qualify.

Please be careful of scams or anyone claiming they can “sign you up” for the $500 payment.
