In 2024 I served 38 families with a life changing event: buying or selling real estate. It’s typically a process full of ups, downs and ALL the emotions. And it’s a blessing to guide people through the transaction & the emotional rollercoaster that can come with it!

I’ve had MANY different rolls in my professional life, none has been quite as fulfilling.

When the appraiser calls for an appraisal revisit to a listing because the ladder he has isn’t tall enough to access the attic and the seller has already removed their ladder, you get one to the house, pronto, as to not hold up the closing timeline.

What you don’t expect is that the appraiser, who requested a taller ladder, doesn’t know how to use said (extension) ladder….🤔

Not all Appraisers (Realtors, Lenders, Inspectors) are created equal…

Parents: there are life skills our kids need to experience & learn….when the ladder is out to clean gutters, or hang Christmas lights, pull those kids out of the basement & away from that game system, and have them help you…along with other ”simple” home ownership tasks.

How do you start your week? Or, maybe just your day?

Is it the same way EACH week or EVERY day?

I do my best to start my weekdays (not weekends) with exercise, movement, and some stretching. There are some weekdays I don’t make it…I didn’t sleep well, I’d rather sleep later…you know the excuses.

This morning was a challenge….I heard the dog stirring in the middle of the night, so I got up to let him outside…and my bare foot stepped in puke 🤢…which lead to a slight scream, and waking Dave up 😔

Sleep the remainder of the night wasn’t great…I heard every movement the dog made…so when the alarm sounded this morning, the internal battle started…

After several minutes of back & forth excuses and motivational encouragement (I truly felt the 😈 in 1 ear and an 😇 in the other), I finally managed to make it to (yes, shameless plug for my daughter 😚) to see the sun peek through the blinds, spend time on the treadmill & listen to Win, Make, Give podcast…..

It was a struggle to get there, and that’s how I started my week 🙃
