“This is headed toward sustained, compounding cost pressure across every industry that touches fuel, which is effectively every industry.”

A U.S.-Iran war 'tax' is beginning to hit consumers as diesel and jet fuel prices rise and stress business profitability, and there is no relief in sight.

This is the story of women of Ukraine right now. More than 19,000 [of their] children are being held captive in Russia. Their families are tormented by uncertainty.

It is a fitting story to tell on Mother’s Day. These children need the help of the whole world to set them free. One Ukrainian mother may be powerless, but thousands and millions of us standing together can succeed.

Every Ukrainian mom today is a part of a great wall holding off Russian aggression against the world.

Some of my friends know of my long time work with communities in Alabama, especially in rural areas. The economic development potential for the Alabama Black Belt is dramatically improved by further expansion of a West Alabama corridor connecting the Port of Mobile with Northwest Alabama and the American Midwest.

This project has been needed and in the state’s plans for over half a century, and I’ve called upon at least 7 governors I can remember to make the project a priority. Governor Kay Ivey is finally making this a reality. (Thank you, Governor Ivey). In evaluating the potential, and looking at prior expansion from Mobile to Thomasville, there has been literally billions in industrial development along the partial expansion.

I’d be grateful if you would “like” this new page and follow along to ensure all Alabamians hear the truth about the benefits finally coming to rural west Alabama.

The West Alabama Highway will add lanes to U.S. Highway 43 and State Route 69 to provide a four-lane divided highway from Thomasville to Moundville. This will complete a four-lane highway corridor of roughly 200 miles connecting Mobile and Tuscaloosa.

American Infrastructure Bonds would lower the cost of capital expenditures for public entities (states, counties, cities, universities, etc.) by enlarging the market interested in public bonds, improving efficiencies in delivering benefits to the bond issuer, and improving returns for bond buyers.

Reforms to municipal and state bonds, as seen in the American Infrastructure Bond Act, would incentivize investments in key infrastructure.
