Shun Guns Support gun control. Shun people who own guns. Don't debate them. Shun Guns promotes gun control. How sensible and responsible is that?

Shun Guns' view is that so called "sensible and responsible" gun owners have allowed the radical gun extremists, manufacturers and the NRA to suppress "sensible and reasonable" gun laws. So their complicity leaves us no choice but to tar ALL GUN OWNERS with the same brush. This is a site for people to express ideas on how to oppose the culture of gun ownership in America. s on ways to express our displeasure to people we personally know who own guns. The basic idea is to make gun ownership by civilians, unacceptable in civil society. Just as it was once acceptable to express racism, society has advanced and we as a society now shun those who express racist statements. Don't argue with gun advocates over the 2nd Amendment or anything else. Simply Shun them by telling them they are part of the problem and that you are not interested in debating the issue. Accept that guns are here in America but express that you don't have to like guns, their uses or gun owners. Use this site to make suggestions. The fact that society is looking for the government to do something to change the situation is necessary because gun owners, gun manufacturers and gun advocates have never taken personal or collective responsibility to work to solve the problem.

Congress passed the Assault Weapons Ban in 1994 on a bipartisan basis—with more than 50 Republicans voting in support—but the gun lobby prevented it from being renewed in 2004. Today, only ten states prohibit the purchase and possession of assault weapons.
