Blerina Jasari recently provided comments to Law.com about the Indictment of Andean Medjedovic in the Eastern District of New York. The Indictment alleges that Medjedovic exploited the vulnerabilities in two decentralized finance protocols and stole about $65 million of investor capital. He then used a so-called crypto mixer to launder the funds.

“The change in administration certainly means that a different approach to enforcement in the crypto space is coming, but it doesn’t mean that it’s open season on investors," said Mark Kasten, counsel at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.

This article takes a closer look at "nudification"—what it is, how it’s becoming more common, and the legal issues that come with it. Dennis E. Boyle, Esquire explains how "nudification" affects the victims and the steps they can take to seek justice and hold the perpetrators accountable.

We live in a world of rapidly advancing technology where things once thought impossible suddenly become common, and we live in a legal system based upon stare decisis, where rapid decision making is discouraged.

Mortgage Wire Fraud is a type of fraud where the fraudster sends an email to the purchaser of a home requesting money for the closing attorney’s escrow account. In many cases, the purchaser will send the money requested to the fraudster learning only later that the money went to someone other than the closing attorney, and when it comes time to close on the purchase, the home buyer has no money left.

Who is responsible for this loss, and what can be done to recover the loss? Read Dennis E. Boyle, Esquire's latest blog post to learn more.

One dangerous but common type of fraud involves Mortgage Wire Fraud (MWF), a type of fraud where the fraudster sends an email to the purchaser of a home requesting money for the closing attorney’s escrow account.

My novel, The Beast of Winter Haven was published about six weeks ago. At the time, I was in trial, and I haven’t had much time to work on marketing it.

The novel is about a werewolf, and a trial wherein the defense attorney must prove the werewolf’s existence to save an innocent client. Several people have commented favorably the story. It’s available on Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble if you’re interested in reading it. If you do decide to read the novel, I would appreciate your feedback back.
