✨ Closing Day, Part Two! ✨

This week the Camperman's closed on the sale of the very first home they purchased and this story is such a beautiful reminder that God had every detail worked out from the beginning.

When David and Janna first called me about purchasing a home on David’s childhood street, the original plan was to sell their current home before closing on the new property. But because the seller couldn’t remain tied to a contingent offer for long, we shifted gears and moved forward with purchasing their new home first.

Soon afterward, a wonderful couple came along who wanted to buy their property. And because God is God, there was an incredible connection waiting for us: the buyers and their Realtor (who happened to be their son in-law) already knew the Campermans!

When God is at the helm, there is a peace that carries everyone through the entire transaction. Repairs and concessions were negotiated with levelheadedness and grace. Even when the HVAC system unexpectedly failed the day before closing, there was no panic. Just two parties working together to find a fair and agreeable solution.

The longer I work in real estate, the more I realize that one of the greatest blessings God has given me is not simply the opportunity to grow a business—it is WHO I get to serve along the way.

Helping David and Janna was truly a blessing to me, and I don’t mean that from a monetary perspective. The way they responded to every twist and turn was covered in the kind of peace that can come only from the Holy Spirit. That was a blessing to watch and be part of.

David and Janna, thank you again for trusting me to help guide you through both sides of this journey. You were an absolute joy to work with and serve. Congratulations on closing this chapter and beginning the next one! I know the boys are going to love being close to the grandparents and creating memories in their new home. 🏡❤️

Two closings this week and they couldn’t have been more different. 🏡🏡

The first quietly made its way to the closing table…at least the second time around. The original buyer had to cancel after becoming incarcerated—a definite first in all my years in real estate! Once back under contract, there were very few repair requests, a smooth VA loan process, and a great agent on the other side who helped make for an easy closing.

The second was a much different story. It was a quicker closing, but one filled with extensions, negotiations, repair requests, pest problems, and challenges that continued until just hours before the documents were signed. Somehow, everything came together in the nick of time, with barely an hour to spare.

I’m incredibly grateful for the experienced listing team on the other side and for a seller who understood the importance of addressing concerns that surfaced at the eleventh hour. I’d be lying if I said experienced agents weren’t what made this closing possible. Clearly explaining contractual deadlines, repair needs, and the available options helped keep everyone focused and move the transaction forward.

I’m not eager to repeat the time crunch or urgency of that closing anytime soon, but there’s something deeply rewarding about reaching the finish line after everything finally falls into place.

Two very different journeys. Two successful closings. And two more reminders that experience, communication, and collaboration truly matter in real estate.
