Teamwork makes the dream work!

Our President Lauren Zwirlein made the rounds to both of our Racine offices last week, training our veterans benefits team on the basics of Social Security disability. (And she brought lunch!)

Two different practice areas, one shared commitment to knowing the whole picture. When our teams understand each other's work (and are well fed), our clients feel it.

As someone who has spent the last 20 years of his life working with veterans and making sure they get the benefits they need, I am all too familiar with the sacrifices made for our country. What really has me in awe of the brave men and women of the US Military is that they are also all too aware of what could happen, and still go out and do what is asked with no reservations. Whether you agree with the mission or not, these heroes are unimpeachable.

With all that is happening right now, I pray for the safety of our military, and peace for their families. I also pray that we take good care of our people when they return and are able to give them the resources they need to thrive going forward. My final prayer is that someday the system will be fixed to the point where there is no need to hire someone to help receive the benefits that were earned and promised to the brave men and women of the US Military.

When we say we care, we mean it. I am so proud of this team and the work we do. Today many of our veteran benefits team members volunteered to learn how to better help those who may be suffering a mental health crisis. This will allow us to be able to identify and provide resources to these individuals. As a firm with thousands of disabled veterans as clients, this will be an extremely important skill set to have. Thank you to all of those on my team that took this opportunity to learn the skills to handle a mental health emergency and help bring our clients “from hardship to hope!”

Some of the best work we do happens before anyone picks up the phone.

Today, our team completed a Mental Health First Aid certification course focused on military veterans and their families — learning to recognize crisis signs, respond with care, and connect people to real help.

We're proud to invest in showing up for our community, many experiencing some of life's hardest moments. ❤️

Receiving the Titan 100 award last night was a wonderful experience. It was humbling to be in the room with so many talented people. People who are truly innovative business leaders, and it was an honor to be included in that group. That being said, there is one person that I was most excited to have there with me. She’s the one who’s been with me since the beginning, and for the past 15 years has been my rock through thick and thin. That person is my amazing wife Abby. I could not have done any of this without her. It meant so much to be able to share this night with her.

I am honored and humbled to be recognized as a member of the Titan 100 CEOs for the state of Wisconsin in 2026. I will be attending the awards ceremony tomorrow night at Fiserv Forum and could not be more excited. It has been a wild ride for the past 15 years as Tabak Law grew from a 4 person law firm to what is today, employing over 300 people all across the globe and having over 20,000 active cases. Our commitment to doing the right thing for our people and our clients is what got us to where we are today. I am beyond excited to see where this company can go, and to be a part of an organization that provides hope to so many individuals.

Earlier this week, a group from Team Tabak spent the morning at Fisher House Wisconsin cooking and serving breakfast for the military families staying there.

The Fisher House Foundation provides a home away from home for families of service members and Veterans receiving medical care. By staying close to their loved ones during treatment, families can focus on what matters most: support, healing, and being together.

I love hearing stuff like this. On top of doing great work, we pride ourselves on being great to work with!

David K. may not be fond of lawyers in general, but he sure loves the folks at Tabak Law.

It’s a new era at Tabak Law. With our new locations, we will be able to help more people and further our mission of bringing our clients from “Hardship to Hope.”

Chilly day for a move, but everyone showed up and got it done—even our CEO. 💪

Yesterday, we officially moved out of our Green Bay Ave office in Glendale and into our new Brookfield space. Changes like this only work when people pitch in, and we’re grateful for a team that does exactly that.

Quick location reminder as we settle in:

• Personal Injury is now based in Whitefish Bay
• Social Security is now based in Brookfield
• Veterans Disability remains in Racine, with a second Racine location now open
