Overview:
The West Virginia State Resiliency Office is looking for an Accounting/Bookkeeping Intern to join our team. The Accounting/Bookkeeping Intern will provide administrative support to all accounting functions. This will be an in-office position at the West Virginia State Resiliency Office in Charleston, WV.

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Perform data entry
● Check financial statements and data for accuracy
● Assist with financial reports preparation
● Communicate with the Chief Financial Officer to track pending invoices
● Prepare and verify expense reports and statements
● Maintain accurate and detailed inventory records
● Conduct project and assignment work as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
● Software/Technical Skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Detail oriented individual with the ability to focus on any given task and see it through to achieve final results

Office Assistant 3-Under general supervision, performs advanced level, complex clerical tasks of a complicated nature involving interpretation and application of policies and practices. Interprets office procedures, rules, and regulations. Performs related work as required. Maintains, processes, sorts and file documents; researches files for data and gathers information. Types a variety of documents from verbal instruction, written or voice recorded dictation. Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages and complaints and gives information to the caller regarding the services and procedures of the organizational unit. Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Operate office equipment such as a calculator, copying machine, and fax machine. Files records and reports. Needs to be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Google Suite.
