This is why I do what I do.
In 2014, I began representing a family after a devastating accident that left Gloria with severe burns, broken bones, and the amputation of four fingers. We worked together for over four years to fight for the recovery they deserved.
Last week, her husband Jack sent me a note out of nowhere. He told me Gloria is doing wonderfully now, volunteering at animal shelters, donkey rescues, libraries, and veterans events. He wrote: "God bless you and others like you that give hope to people who experience tragic events in their lives."
He also shared a photo of a plaque Gloria keeps in her bathroom. The quote pictured here is what carried her through rebuilding her life after everything she endured.
To receive something like this means more than I can express. This is my calling, and moments like this reaffirm it. I cannot give people back what they lost, but what I can do is walk alongside them, fight for them, and help them find solid ground on the other side. I am so honored to do that work, and hearing that Gloria is living and thriving reminds me exactly why.
