As Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida, its powerful Category 4 winds and catastrophic storm surge left many in the region reeling. With maximum sustained winds of 140 mph at landfall, Helene hit the Big Bend area, bringing widespread flooding and wind damage. While our home remained dry and we were fortunate that the power stayed on despite frequent flickers, others were not as lucky. Many in our community are now facing significant loss, with homes and livelihoods devastated.
Please keep Florida in your thoughts, especially those in areas that bore the brunt of the storm. We are grateful for the emergency teams working tirelessly, and as a community, we stand strong in solidarity with those affected. We are , we are .
Stay safe, and letβs support each other as we rebuild and recover.
