Parker was diagnosed on 2/9/2016 at the age of five. Just a baby, life-changing, and now our everyday life. Parker manages her T1D with such grace and strength💪Hard to believe we are going on 10 years. The numbers for Parker’s DiaDigits are crazy.🤯😭In the same breath, we are so grateful for the advances in treatment and the technology to manage T1D.🙏It is a daily🗓️,hourly⏰,minute-by-minute⏱️, meal-by-meal🍽️,activity🏊♀️,sickness🤒,stress😓,hot/cold🥵😰,2AM checks😴,teenage hormones,highs and lows🎢, and the scariest roller coaster ride at times, and no CURE but we have HOPE🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙

On November 14, 1921, Dr. Banting, together with Charles Best and colleagues at the University of Toronto, discovered insulin, giving hope and life to millions living with diabetes.
🌍 World Diabetes Day is celebrated every year on November 14, Banting’s birthday, in recognition of his life-saving discovery.
