🚨 H-1B 60-Day Grace Period: Don’t Panic. It has NOT disappeared yet.

DHS has proposed eliminating the up-to-60-day grace period after employment ends — but this is not a final rule. The current grace period remains in place while the rulemaking process continues.

For many Bay Area H-1B families, this isn't just about finding the next job.

You may have a $1M–$2M home, a mortgage, kids in school, and years of your life built here. Those 60 days can provide critical time to understand your immigration options and make decisions about your home — whether that's keeping it, renting it, selling it, or planning for a move.

There is also a public-comment period on the proposed rule. If your company employs H-1B workers, talk to your HR or immigration team about reviewing the proposal and its real-world impact.

Most importantly: stay positive. 🙏

Don’t make decisions out of panic. Understand your options, make a plan, and keep moving forward.

Just like a fixer-upper, something that looks difficult today can be rebuilt with the right plan.

10 YEARS ❤️ | 2016 → 2026

Looking at our first photo from 2016 feels like yesterday.

We moved to the U.S. in 2014, and dance has been connected to our American journey in a very special way. Manasa’s achievements and credentials in Indian classical dance helped our family obtain our green card through the EB-1A extraordinary ability category. 🇺🇸

After we started building our life here, she continued doing what she had always loved — Bharatanatyam.

In 2016, with a simple puja, a lot of passion and a dream, this journey began. ❤️

Fun fact: starting this journey also meant selling some of my NVIDIA stock back then. 😄 Looking at NVIDIA today… maybe I shouldn’t calculate what those shares would be worth! 😂

But 10 years later, I realize something much more important:

Not every investment is measured in dollars.

Watching what Manasa has built — the students, performances, friendships, families and the community that grew around her passion — is worth far more than any number on a stock chart. ❤️

What started as one of our first ventures here became something much bigger.

It became passion. It became community. It became memories. And most importantly, it became happiness.

To every student, parent, teacher, friend and well-wisher who has been part of these 10 years — thank you. 🙏❤️

Some people say I’m lucky for them, but I truly feel they were lucky for me.

Our journey started when they were looking for a home. At that time, we couldn’t find the right one. Soon after, they became part of the Sparklet Kids Academy family, and it was wonderful getting to know them beyond real estate.

Just a couple of months later, the perfect opportunity came along, and today they’re celebrating a beautiful new home in Newark.

Honestly… this made my day.

My client sent me this beautifully edited photo after our home tour today, and moments like these truly mean a lot.

He came all the way from San Diego to check out a home near Berkeley for his son, who’s moving here for his next chapter.

Today we toured this beautiful property at 1711 Santa Clara Street in Richmond… and honestly, the highlight was this view.

Just look at the San Francisco Bay and bridge views from here… absolutely stunning.

For me, real estate is never just about showing homes. It’s about understanding the family, their emotions, and helping them find the right place they can truly call home.
