Good morning, y'all! I just wanted to share some reflection from my DUOMO Bible study this morning. Here's what really hit me today...

"In the Gospel of Genesis 1, we see a masterpiece unfolding. After every act of creation—light, sky, land, stars, sea creatures, and animals—God stepped back and said, 'It was good.' Over and over, He saw the beauty in what He made. But then came a turning point.

God made humanity with divine intentionality—to reflect His image, His nature, and His heart. Unlike the animals or the stars, we were designed to carry His likeness, to think, to create, to love, and to lead.

'So God created mankind in His own image… male and female He created them.'
Genesis 1:27

Out of all He formed, only humans were given this unique identity. And with that identity came purpose: to rule, to steward, and to multiply life on the earth (Genesis 1:28). We weren’t made to exist—we were made to matter.

And when God looked at us, His response changed.

'God saw all that He had made, and it was very good.' Genesis 1:31

From 'good' to 'very good'—that’s the shift when you enter the picture. You are not random. You are not forgotten. You are the highlight of God’s creation, made in His image, made for relationship, made on purpose.

I don't often think about this, so I'm glad it was there for me to read today. We were created for a higher purpose - to really matter!

Being at our AWAKEN conference this weekend was so AMAZINGLY INSPIRATIONAL. The relationships I've gained because of this AWESOME company are some of the best I've ever had. They are genuine, loving, supportive and call me to a higher place in my health and life. I walked away knowing more about myself and my purpose!

I am here to help YOU on your journey, too. I would love to connect with anyone whom this speaks to or is searching for someone to walk his/her path together. We are all created in His image and are meant to love and support one another. I know more than ever that this is my purpose! Let's do it!

"I had my roof repaired by one those neighborhood guys who can do a little of everything. He gave me a 10-year labor warranty on the roof and said if any damages occurred after his fix, I could get the parts and he'd repair it at no cost. Great!

Well, one fall season we had a terrible rain storm. I heard water pouring INTO my kitchen from the ceiling - it was bad! I called and told him about the issue, he came by to check it out. Turned out I needed shingles so I went out and bought what he said I needed and let him know the shingles were in the garage. His reply was that if I wanted he and his son to go back up on the roof, it would be another $300!
Of course, I was confused since that's not what we discussed. I even reminded him what his contract said. He said he knew but he wanted $300 to make it worth his time.

I had a leaking roof I needed fixed and under any other circumstance, I'd have just paid him the $300 (easier and likely cheaper than hiring someone else cold). BUT, I called my LegalShield provider firm, sent in the contract for them to review and a lawyer got back same day and said he'd mail the guy and his son a letter.

I received a copy of that letter by mail the following Thursday, I'm guessing the same day the handyman got it. On Sunday morning I was getting ready for church and heard banging on my roof. It was him! Lol! He didn't say hi or bye, he just repaired the roof ... without $300! My big brother (my provider law firm) to the rescue!"

"My husband and I are on Medicare. He wanted a replacement mask for his CPAP machine. The doctor wrote a prescription, and the supplier said it needed to come from a pulmonologist. Important Information —
Getting Your Affairs In Order:

💰Make sure all bank accounts have direct beneficiaries named. The beneficiary need only go to the bank with your death certificate and an ID of their own.

🏡 Complete a TOD (Transfer On Death) for your house deed if you own a home. Completing this document and filing it with your county saves your heirs THOUSANDS of dollars. This document allows you to transfer ownership of your home to your designee; all they’ll need to do is take their ID and your death certificate to the county building and the deed is signed over, avoiding having the home have to go through probate.

🚗 Complete a TOD = (Transfer on Death) of your auto title(s) too. All these things will help your heirs avoid the probate process.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Living Will: Allows one to put in writing EXACTLY what you want done in the event you cannot speak for yourself when it comes to healthcare decisions as well as other final decisions.

👩🏽‍⚖️ Durable Power of Attorney: Allows one to designate a person to make legal decisions if one is no longer competent to do so.

🏥 Power of Attorney for Healthcare: This document allows one to designate someone to make healthcare decisions for their person.

🛍 Last Will and Testament: Designates to whom personal belongings will go.

🪦 Funeral Planning Declaration: allows one to say exactly one’s wishes as far as disposition of the body and the services.

If the above documents are done, you can AVOID probate. When all the above is not done, your family members must hire a lawyer to open an estate account at the bank, and all moneys without direct beneficiaries named goes into this account. The lawyer will also have to publicize your passing in the newspaper or post publication at the county courthouse, to allow anyone time to make a claim on your property. - it’s a complete PAIN.

📚 💳 Make a list of all banks and account numbers, all investment institutions with account numbers, lists of credit cards, utility accounts, etc. Leave clear instructions as to how and when these things are paid.

📂 Make sure your heirs know where your life insurance policies are located.

📝 Make 100% sure SOMEONE knows your Apple ID, bank ID account logins and all passwords. A password keeper will streamline that - only one password needed to access all accounts.

🚗 Make sure you have titles for all vehicles, campers, etc in the SAME PLACE.

Set up a trust for intended beneficiaries that are too young, and appoint a trustee of said trust.

MOST IMPORTANT, talk with those closest to you and make certain your wishes are known; talk to those you’ve designated, as well as those you did not, to explain why decisions were made and to avoid any lingering questions or hurt feelings.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO if this happened to you?

In April 2023, I bought 4 new tires and there was a $100 rebate offer.

1) I sent in the rebate on April 28, 2023.
2) They sent me an email on May 9, 2023 stating they received the rebate form.
3) On 7/7/23 they sent an email stating they approved it and it can take 6-weeks to get.

So you wait…and then you FORGET about it.

4) On 12/16/23, I sent an email (since there was no phone number to be found anywhere online to contact the company) to inquire when I will get the rebate.

NOTHING. NO REPLY.

5) On 1/1/24 I go down to the tire shop and speak to a representative and they give me a phone number to call. And when I called, they said they mailed it out already. I asked how and they said by mail and it was a Visa card. I asked if the Visa card was activated and used? They responded no it has not. I then asked them to mail a new one and they said they can’t.

6) On 1/3/24, I picked up the phone and contact my LegalShield law firm provider who consulted with me and gave me two options, 1) write a letter or 2) make a phone call. I opted for a phone call on my behalf.

7) TODAY 2/28/24 I GET my $100 REBATE 🙂

I love my “I don’t take crap app!”

$100 won’t make or break me….but it’s rightfully my $100 and it’s the principle right? What’s right is right.

Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?

Officer: Ma'am, you were speeding.

Woman: Oh, I see.

Officer: Can I see your license please?

Woman: I'd give it to you but I don't have one.

Officer: Don't have one?

Woman: Lost it 4 times for drunk driving.

Officer: I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.

Woman: I can't do that.

Officer: Why not?

Woman: I stole this car.

Officer: Stole it?

Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.

Officer: You what?

Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see.

The Officer looks at the woman, slowly backs away to his car, and calls for back up. Within minutes, five police cars show up and surround her car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun...

Officer 2: Ma'am, please step out of your vehicle!

The woman steps out of her vehicle.

Woman: Is there a problem sir?

Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.

Woman: Murdered the owner?

Officer 2: Yes, please open the trunk of your car, ma'am.

The woman obliges, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.

Officer 2: Is this your car, ma'am?

Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers.

The first officer is stunned.... and confused.

Officer 2: One of my officers claims you do not have a driving license.

The woman digs into her handbag, pulls out her wallet and hands it to the officer. The officer snaps open the wallet and examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.

Officer 2: Thank you ma'am. My officer told me you didn't have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner and had him in your trunk.

Woman: Hmmm. Wow. Betcha that liar told you I was speeding, too.

"My ex stuck me with a chunk of debt.

While going through our divorce, I contacted LegalShield to find out what I needed to do to protect myself and get out of (the business he insisted we open) without financial responsibility. The lawyer drew up a contract designed by both of us that we signed and notarized. On my lawyer's advice, I had it put into our judgement, too. “On December 9 I cracked the screen on my phone. I contacted Verizon and was told by their rep I could take it to a store and get it replaced for ‘approximately $29.99’.

When I got to the store I was told they no longer have technicians in stores and I would need to file an insurance claim to get my screen repaired. When I contacted the insurance company, they informed me there isn't a screen replacement available for my phone and that I would have to pay a $199 deductible to get the phone replaced.
