"High Professional Work"... Or Is It? 🛠️🥴👀
Caption:
"Great work, guys. This looks like highly professional work... What do you guys think?" 🥸🤨
We see a lot of unique DIY solutions out in the field, but this sloppy stucco/concrete foundation patch takes the cake. It looks like someone just slapped a trowel full of concrete onto the wall, called it a day, and didn't bother to smooth it down, blend it, or properly seal the gap.
While it’s fun to poke a little sarcasm at a messy aesthetic, bad exterior patch jobs like this can point to real underlying issues:
Hidden Damage: What were they trying to cover up so quickly? Is there a crumbling foundation, a major crack, or moisture intrusion behind that wall?
Water Traps: Slapping uneven concrete layers against a structure creates ledges where rainwater can sit, eventually seeping directly behind the siding and rotting out the framing.
Resale Red Flags: Sloppy work like this instantly makes buyers (and home inspectors) ask: “If this is how they fixed what we CAN see, what did they do to the things we CAN’T see?”
When you're buying a home, you don't just want a fix—you want it done right. Don't let a messy cover-up become your expensive weekend project.
