After many years of serving churches through bookkeeping, financial oversight, consulting, and controller services, we are excited to share that this page is now officially becoming Good Steward Church Academy!
Founded by Barbara L. Starley, CPA ... also known by many as “Your On-Call Controller" ... Good Steward Church Academy was created from a growing desire to help even more churches, pastors, bookkeepers, treasurers, and ministry leaders steward their God-given resources with wisdom, integrity, and excellence.
Rather than starting a brand-new page, we chose to simply update the name so we could continue building on the relationships, community, and trust that have already been established here over the years.
Our mission remains the same:
Helping churches build healthy financial foundations that support strong and sustainable ministry.
We’ll continue sharing encouragement, education, practical financial tips, training opportunities, and resources designed specifically for churches and ministries.
And if you or someone you know ever needs support with church finances, bookkeeping, financial systems, or stewardship guidance, we would be honored to help.
