Announcement: Rebranding and Strategic Shift
The Law Offices of Anton Lebedev PLLC is being rebranded as Lebedev Law Services, which will include the previously announced Lebedev Consulting project.
After more than 11 years of practicing law, I’ve decided to shift my focus away from high-volume office work and toward appellate matters—particularly criminal appeals—along with select trial-level and administrative criminal and immigration cases on a case-by-case basis.
As part of this transition:
As many know, I will no longer provide traditional family law services, such as representation on domestic violence protective orders.
However, I will continue to handle select immigration, criminal, civil, and special proceeding matters.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked on criminal cases ranging from infractions to serious s*x offenses, violent crimes, property crimes, drug offenses, impaired driving and vehicular homicide, domestic violence, and even less common criminal charges such as cockfighting. My family law experience has included not only traditional matters but also proceedings that intersect with immigration, such as legitimation proceedings and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases.
In immigration law, I have handled a wide range of cases—from routine family-based petitions and common benefits applications such as DACA and TPS renewals to humanitarian petitions such as U and T visa applications, removal defense in Immigration Court, and appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Going forward:
I will be scaling back involvement in routine matters such as traffic cases.
I will continue to appear in some of the same courtrooms, but less frequently.
I will no longer routinely accept new non-appellate cases involving asylum, withholding of removal, or Convention Against Torture (CAT) claims.
My work will increasingly focus on providing ancillary legal services to other law firms, especially in criminal and immigration law. This includes:
*Drafting motions and memoranda;
*Advisory opinions on the immigration consequences of plea options;
*Second opinions on pending legal matters;
*Legal research and writing support.
In today’s environment of heightened immigration enforcement, I believe it’s more important than ever to have a reliable second set of eyes when navigating obscure immigration consequences.
Depending on the nature of the case, I offer services throughout North Carolina and, where allowable, in other states, as I am legally authorized to provide immigration law advice nationwide.
Please note: Nothing in this announcement should be construed as a claim of formal specialization in any area of law.
