Transparency Post:
I don’t always get it right the first time. But I also don’t believe mistakes should be ignored just because we’re human. If something is missed, it should be acknowledged, corrected, and learned from.
After every signing I complete — whether it’s general notary work, real estate documents, life planning documents, or business paperwork — I take the extra time to review everything more than once. My process is what helps me deliver a smoother experience for my clients.
Here’s how I work:
1. I go through the documents with the signer.
2. I review the signer’s portions again — dates, initials, signatures, and any fill-in sections.
3. Then I review my portions — notarial certificates, dates, seals, stamps, and any notary-related sections.
A lot of people only see the signing appointment itself, but there’s a level of care and responsibility behind the scenes that matters just as much.
That final review gives me peace of mind, but it also gives my clients confidence in the work I provide.
At the end of the day, I’m human. Human error can happen. But it will never be my excuse for not doing everything I can to ensure the documents I handle are properly completed and executed.
