Just a quick heads up. Do not rely solely on the IRS app for updates. Refunds can hit your account before the status changes in the system.

I have seen situations where the status remained on “Approved,” but the refund was already deposited.

If you are expecting a refund, it is a good idea to check your bank account regularly. The app is helpful, but it is not always updated in real time.
