In 2018, I tried my first solo jury trial, and it was a major trial in Erie County, Pennsylvania.

I remember being more nervous about my natural hair and purple lipstick than I was about standing up in court. I worried that jurors would see me as “ghetto,” unprofessional, or not serious enough, especially as the only Black professional sitting at counsel table with four Black co-defendants.

Looking back, I realize I was carrying the weight of other people’s assumptions.

Fast forward to 2026.

Now I know that my competence speaks before I do. Whether my hair is natural, straight, or braided. Whether my lipstick is n**e, red, or purple. The lawyers, judges, prosecutors, and clients I encounter know one thing:

I’m coming prepared.
I’m coming with purpose.
And I’m going to apply pressure.

Never shrink yourself to make other people comfortable. Excellence has a way of introducing itself.💋

I have been on trial since last week in New Jersey

The State charged my client with first-degree home invasion burglary and terroristic threats—serious charges with real prison exposure!
Exposure: 10–20 years (85% mandatory).

Verdict: NOT GUILTY‼️

We asked for a reasonable resolution.

They basically laughed at us and refused to budge!

So we tried the case.

The jury saw it for what it was:
No home invasion‼️
No threats‼️
No violence‼️

Instead, a brief, emotional confrontation by a 50 year old woman who found out her fiancé was creeping with a younger lady!

That’s what happens when a case gets overcharged and the proof doesn’t match the allegations!

I’m so proud of my client for standing her ground and trusting the process, and I am grateful for a jury that held the state to its burden!

Not every win looks like an acquittal.

Sometimes a win is walking out of a situation where everything, including 4K video, seems to say you’re guilty... dangerous... beyond saving.

But here’s the truth:
What you see is not always what actually happened.
Context matters.
Perspective matters.
And most importantly-having the right advocate matters.

Because sometimes, a win looks like:
A second chance.
A chance to go home.
A chance to rebuild.
A chance to move forward instead of being buried by a moment.

That’s what I fight for. If you want someone who understands that every case has layers, and knows how to uncover them... then you already know where to find me.

I watched you become her. 🥹🎓
Every ‘yes’ came from your consistency, your strength, and your faith. Every school you applied to wanted you!

This moment? You earned it.
And I couldn’t be more proud to be your mom. 💙

A child said “Happy Birthday” to his father…
and it led to felony charges and a criminal trial.

Yes. Seriously.

This case started as a family dispute that spiraled into accusations of criminal trespass, assault, and harassment.

But when the evidence was tested in court, the truth became clear.

Verdict: NOT GUILTY.

Sometimes criminal cases don’t begin with a crime.
Sometimes they begin with a family conflict and raw unchecked emotions.

Justice requires proof — not emotionally charged accusations.

If you or someone you love is facing criminal charges in Pennsylvania or New Jersey, make sure you have someone ready to challenge the evidence.

🚨 Let me ask a real question…

When police approach a group of people on the street, why do some people immediately lift their shirts to show their waistband?

Recently, I handled a case where officers approached a group of men standing on a corner and immediately began searching them.

During that same encounter, officers also searched a vehicle my client was driving without a warrant, where they recovered a firearm.

We filed a Motion to Suppress, arguing that the stop and the searches violated the Fourth Amendment.

The court agreed.

⚖️ Motion to Suppress Granted.
⚖️ Evidence Suppressed.
⚖️ Charges Dismissed.

But something on the body camera stood out to me.

As officers approached, several of the men instinctively lifted their shirts to show they didn’t have a weapon.

Not judging it.

Just wondering:

What’s the thought process behind that reaction?

If you’ve done it or seen it happen, I’d really like to hear your perspective.
