I notarized an emergency Power of Attorney document in a rehab facility yesterday. The client didn’t know that mobile notaries were even a thing until yesterday—today she can manage her family’s needs.

Seeing their relief, and helping them keep their family’s life moving is exactly why I got into this work. In this season of gratitude, and every day, I am grateful for this.

13 months and 10 days after retiring from teaching I am thrilled to announce the launch of MC Mobile Notary, now serving northern New Jersey.

I know, I know--you can go to the bank or the library and get it done for free. And I always do. Well, usually. Sometimes you work during their hours. Or the notary is not in. Or they refuse to notarize your particular document. Or it's 9pm...or Sunday...or a holiday...or you just can't get out to one.

True story: A relative was very recently in the hospital and needed a document notarized ASAP. Leaving the hospital was simply not possible. A mobile notary (not me) notarized their important document at their bedside that very day--and our relative's affairs continued on, conveniently and affordably uninterrupted.

Throughout my adult life, I have enjoyed helping others, whether at work via teaching or volunteering at church, school or in the community. Assisting the public in their important moments as a mobile notary feels like the natural next step for me.
