You finish a signing, pack up your documents, thank the signer, get back to the car… and then realize your favorite smooth-writing pen is missing. 🖊️😩

Now you’re sitting there wondering:
“Did they accidentally keep it… or did they promote themselves to owner?” 😂

It’s all good though. If a stolen pen is the worst thing that happens during a signing, we’re having a pretty good day!

One of the biggest misconceptions about notaries is that we only charge for a stamp. In Florida, the maximum fee for a notarization is $10 per notarial act. That means if your documents require 15 notarizations, the fee could be $150 just in notarial acts alone. (Although depending on the situation, complexity, and yes… sometimes your attitude 😄, I may not charge the full amount.)

What many people don’t see are the expenses and responsibilities behind the scenes:

✅ Travel expenses (fuel, vehicle wear and tear, mileage, and time)

✅ Continuing education, commission renewals, background screenings, and staying current with Florida notary laws

✅ Equipment costs (stamps, seal ink, printer, toner, paper, scanner, drum units, software, and maintenance)

✅ Over 17 years of notary experience serving the community through loan signings, powers of attorney, estate planning documents, hospital signings, jail signings, VIN verifications, affidavits, and much more

Most importantly, you’re not just paying for a stamp. You’re paying for convenience, professionalism, patience, compassion, attention to detail, and nearly two decades of experience.

People see a notary stamp… but they don’t always see the stories behind it.

I’ve done signings at prisons and multi-million dollar homes.
I’ve worked on movie sets and walked into roach and rat infested houses.
I’ve notarized for celebrities, military families, and everyday hardworking people.

I’ve handled POAs for people who passed away minutes later.
I’ve prayed with families during hard times.
I’ve showed kids how my stamp works for permission slips so they could go on field trips, play sports, or visit a parent who was locked up.

I’ve worked in lawyer offices, banks, funeral homes, dealerships, hospitals, coffee shops, and even on the hood of my car in 30-degree weather.

Some clients treated me like family and gave gifts.
Others didn’t even want “my kind” in their house.

But one thing never changed…
Every single person got the same high level of service, professionalism, and respect from me.

Today we celebrate the women who pray for us, sacrifice for us, encourage us, correct us, love us through our flaws, and still somehow find the strength to keep going. A mother’s love is truly one of God’s greatest gifts.

To the mothers raising children, the grandmothers helping hold families together, the single moms carrying heavy loads, the bonus moms, and the mothers who may be struggling silently — we see you, appreciate you, and honor you today. ❤️

Thank you for the sleepless nights, the talks, the hugs, the lessons, the patience, and the unconditional love. May God continue to strengthen and bless every mother today and always.
