đź’° Could your Medicare premiums increase in 2027?

If your income is above certain thresholds, you may pay more for Medicare Part B and Part D through something called IRMAA (Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount).

While the official 2027 IRMAA brackets haven't been released yet, there are already clues that can help retirees and future Medicare beneficiaries start planning ahead.

In this article, I break down:

âś… What IRMAA is
âś… How it affects Medicare premiums
âś… What we know so far about 2027 brackets
âś… Planning strategies that may help reduce surprises

Have you ever been surprised by an IRMAA surcharge—or are you planning ahead to avoid one?

Turning 65 soon and wondering what you're actually supposed to do about Medicare?

You're not alone.

One of the most common questions I hear is:

*"How do I enroll in Medicare for the first time?"*

The process is easier when you know the timeline, the enrollment windows, and where to apply. In this new guide, I walk through the steps, explain what happens if you're still working, and help you avoid common enrollment mistakes.

That call can sound real fast.

They know your name. They say they’re from Medicare. They tell you there’s a problem with your account, your card, or your coverage — and all they need is a little information to “fix it.”

That’s exactly how a lot of Medicare scams start.

I put together this article to help you spot the red flags, protect your Medicare number, and know what to do if you’ve already answered one of these calls.

A few big reminders:
Medicare will not call you out of the blue to ask for personal information, charge you for a new card, or offer free equipment in exchange for your Medicare number. If a caller is pushing for fast action, that’s your sign to hang up.

If you’ve gotten one of these calls before, you’re not alone. Have you seen any of these scam tactics lately?

Medicare is starting to cover certain weight-loss drugs in 2026, but the details matter.

In this new article, I break down what the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge is, which drugs are included, who may qualify, and what the $50 copay does and does not mean for your Part D costs. If you’ve been hearing about Wegovy, Zepbound, and Foundayo and wondering what actually applies to Medicare, this will help.
