Pinellas County, get out and vote for Zachariah Wade for Judge next week. I've known Zachariah since law school, and when we met I knew immediately he took his future in law very seriously. I've had cases as a defense attorney when he was the prosecutor. I've seen him represent clients in court zealously when he became a defense attorney. In every aspect, he has always been professional, reasonable, tenacious, and knowledgeable. Pinellas County needs Zachariah Wade as a judge.
Every candidate has a "Why." Here is Zachariah's:
"I'm a proven trial attorney who has served as a state prosecutor, defense attorney, civil litigator, and a law school professor. I've spent my career in the courtrooms I now wish to preside over, with experience practicing on both sides. This has taught me the perspective and dedication required to serve from the bench.
But that's not all. Aside from my professional qualifications I've also overcome obstacles in life that developed my character, my work ethic, and my obligation to uplift those around me. I've experienced life's highs and lows enough to know who I am, what I have to offer, and how my life and work can benefit my profession and my community the most.
I'm a born-and-raised Floridian who grew up between Orlando, Ocala, and Plant City. I attended Florida A&M University, where I was a member of the Incomparable Marching “100” before earning my Juris Doctor from the Stetson University College of Law.
While at Stetson I distinguished myself as a member of the nation’s #1 ranked Trial Team and after graduating returned to Stetson as a Trial Team Coach and Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy. I am honored to now practice law alongside colleagues who are also my former students.
After law school I served the people of Pinellas County as an Assistant State Attorney. In that role, I handled thousands of cases, ranging from DUI and drug offenses to domestic violence, firearm charges, and homicide. I served as lead on-scene prosecutor for complex DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide investigations, working hand-in-hand with law enforcement.
Now as a law firm owner I represent individuals facing serious criminal charges as well as handling civil matters. I'm known for my high level of preparation, sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, respect for others, and genuine demeanor.
My experience and perspective give me a practical, well-rounded understanding of the courtroom and a judge's responsibilities to it.
My service to the community has been through organizations such as the Clearwater Bar Association, CASA, EmpowHERment, Habeas Porcus BBQ, BOYS Court, the I Will Foundation, Inc., the Youth Development Initiative, Inc. and others. I focus heavily on engaging young men who are at risk of falling into the criminal justice system or simply need a role model.
During my career I've been honored with awards including the Rising Prosecutor of the Year Award, the Golden Tie Award for trial success, the Marc L. Levine Award for Leadership, and the Thomas E. Penick, Jr. Award for Community Service.
I have the Perspective, Trust, and Experience required to be Pinellas County's next County Court judge, and I'm asking for your vote on AUGUST 18, 2026!"
