I am so honored to serve on the Advisory Council for the University of Florida Center for Agricultural and Natural Resource Law.

From a very young age, I knew that I wanted a career in ag and that I wanted to make a difference in our industry, but I wasn't quite sure how. Then, as an undergraduate student at UF, I met Professor Michael Olexa, who inspired me to go to law school and pursue this amazing career as an ag lawyer and agvocate! The Ag Law minor and Center for Agricultural and Natural Resource Law set me on the trajectory to where I am today - advocating for our amazing farmers and ranchers.

Being able to serve on this Council is more meaningful to me than I can fully express! If you want to hear more about Dr. Olexa and the Center for Agricultural and Natural Resource Law, check out the first-ever episode of The Legal Field podcast, which aired last June!

🇺🇸 HAPPY CONSTITUTION DAY! 🇺🇸

On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed—a document that continues to shape our system of government and the freedoms and responsibilities of American citizenship.

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” — Ronald Reagan

Those words are a reminder that freedom must be understood, valued, protected, and passed on.

In agriculture, we understand the importance of preserving something for the next generation. Our land. Our livelihoods. Our rural communities. And the freedoms that allow us to build, work, worship, speak, and advocate.

At Ag Women Connect, we believe women in agriculture have an important voice in that story. Show up. Speak up. Know what you stand for. And never take freedom for granted. 🇺🇸🌾

Happy Constitution Day from Ag Women Connect.

Your Story Matters.

Happy Constitution Day! On September 17, 1787, delegates gathered at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia to draft the U.S. Constitution, launching the greatest experiment in self-government and laying the foundation for our nation's government. This signaled to the rest of the world that freedom, liberty, and a system of elected government officials would succeed and would prevail.

Too many Americans today do not truly understand the Constitution, its importance, and its history! Let’s recommit to teaching our children about the U.S. Constitution – the greatest political document ever written! Happy 239th birthday to this glorious document.

Today, we remember those men and women who lost their lives on this day 25 years ago. September 11, 2001 was a horrific day for this country. Our country was shaken, her people were scared, many lives were lost, and many were never found.

That day was also a day where we saw on full display the greatness of America and her people. Though evil attacked us, we saw people running to the danger to help. We saw every Americans trying to stop one of the terrorists, knowing they were going to die, to prevent further damage and lives lost. We saw selflessness in every way imaginable. And in the days and months following the horrific attack, we saw Americans come together in an incredible way.

As time has passed , many have forgotten that day and what happened to America in the days and months that followed. May we never forget. May we always remember those lives lost and may we always cherish the greatness of America and her people and protect her at all costs. In the words of Todd Beamer as he selflessly sacrificed his life for others. “Let’s roll!”

God bless America.
