🇺🇸 Members of Congress: your community is watching.

There are more than 7,300 Venezuelan physicians and healthcare professionals in this country. They work in your districts. They care for your constituents. They save lives where no one else is willing to go.

And today, some of them are under arrest. Without having committed a single crime.

Dr. Ezequiel Véliz. Resident of the Year at UT Health. Detained in Texas while his J-1 visa was actively being processed by the very hospital that needed him.

Dr. Rubeliz Bolívar. Emergency medicine resident at the only Level I Trauma Center in Hidalgo County, serving the entire Rio Grande Valley. Valid work permit through 2030. Detained at the airport on her way to an asylum hearing she had been waiting ten years to attend.

Dr. José Gregorio Valera. Pediatrician. He showed up in good faith to his official asylum appointment, following every rule the system required. He was arrested that same day.

Dr. Yarelys Guerrero Ramírez. Specialist in obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine. Detained at 8 in the morning on a highway in Miami, on her way to work. No explanation given.

While this happens, 101 million Americans live in areas with an official shortage of healthcare professionals. By 2038, this country will need 141,000 more physicians than it will have. Source: HRSA, March 2026.

The solution already exists. It is called H.R. 1348, the Venezuelan Adjustment Act. Bipartisan. No new spending. It only needs your vote.

Will you act before America loses these physicians?

Your constituents deserve an answer.

🚨 4 médicos venezolanos. Permisos válidos. Asilo pendiente.

Fuente: HRSA 2026.
