Just because you're the only member of your LLC doesn't mean you can skip the operating agreement. 👀

This is one of the most common mistakes I see small business owners make… and it can cost you big.

Your operating agreement helps prove your LLC is separate from you. Without one, you may make it easier for someone to argue that your personal assets are on the line.
It also sets the rules for how your business is managed, how money is handled, and what happens if things change later.

Don't wait until there's a dispute, a banking issue, or a partner conversation to realize you needed one. Schedule a free 15-minute conversation — link in the comments.

AI can do a lot of things. Writing your personalized and comprehensive contract isn't really one of them. 😬

I get it… you're running a business, so you try to save money where you can and LegalZoom or ChatGPT seems like an easy fix… but online templates are not a one size fits all and are only as good as what you put in.

And don’t get me wrong, AI is genuinely useful for a lot of stuff. But when it comes to your legal documents? A generic template doesn't know your business, your risk, or your state.

This is one of the 5 legal missteps I'm covering at my April 16th workshop. Small group, lunch included, and real answers to real questions. Link in bio to grab your spot! 👇

Can you say 100% that your business is legally protected? 👀

A lot of business owners assume that having a registered LLC means they're covered, but that's honestly one of the biggest misconceptions I see. An LLC is a great first step, but it's just that… a first step.

This Thursday, April 16th, I'm sitting down with a small group of local business owners to walk through the most common legal mistakes that quietly put your business at risk, and what you can actually do about it.

As we head into a new year, I’ve been taking some time to reflect on what matters most. Family, community, and the opportunity to serve others are always at the top of that list for me.

I’m grateful for the support, trust, and encouragement I’ve received as I continue building Tyree Law. Starting and growing something meaningful takes a village, and I don’t take that lightly.

In the year ahead, my focus remains the same. Supporting small business owners who want to do things the right way and helping them build strong, sustainable foundations.

Wishing everyone a healthy, successful, and joy-filled year ahead.

Tyree Law exists because too many small business owners are left to navigate complex legal systems without clear or practical guidance. I’ve seen people rely on templates, online advice, or guesswork, not because they want to cut corners, but because legal help often feels confusing or out of reach.

I started this firm to change that experience. Small business owners deserve legal support that is understandable, practical, and focused on what actually matters for their business, not unnecessary complexity or intimidation.

At Tyree Law, the goal is simple: help entrepreneurs put the right legal foundation in place so they can focus on building and growing. That means clear explanations, thoughtful structure, and guidance that meets people where they are.

This firm is built for business owners who want to do things the right way. People who care about protecting what they’re building and want to operate with confidence instead of uncertainty.

Tyree Law exists to make business law more accessible, more practical, and more human for Nebraska’s small business community.

I became a lawyer because I’ve always cared about fairness, access to resources, and understanding why systems work the way they do. I’ve always been the person who wanted to understand the rules, not just follow them, but really understand why they exist and how they shape opportunity.

One of the experiences that pushed me toward law was working on a grassroots, door-to-door campaign around a ballot initiative. I spent time helping everyday people understand a new law, what it meant for them, and why their engagement mattered. Seeing how directly the law affects real lives and real communities made something click for me. This work matters.

Today, I work with small business owners across Nebraska who want to do things the right way. When people work with me, I want them to feel clear, confident, and supported. I focus on practical guidance that helps business owners protect what they’re building, limit risk, and create something that can last.

I’m also an entrepreneur myself, and my lived experience matters. I grew up in a low-income household with a strong sense of structure and service, and that continues to shape how I support business owners today. I communicate in plain language and meet people where they are. No jargon and no judgment.

I especially enjoy working with contractors, developers, and entrepreneurs who are building something real and improving their communities. That could be construction, food, fitness, care services, or any work that helps people thrive. At Tyree Law, my goal is to be more than just an attorney. I want to be a trusted partner who helps put the right legal framework in place so your vision can grow.
