Are you planning a kid-free getaway! We all need and deserve a break.

Did you know that if you leave your kids overnight and if you’re further than 2 hours away you need to leave a special form for your child(ren)’s caregiver? It’s called a temporary delegation of parental duties and allows the caregiver to take them to the hospital and make necessary decision. Did you also know I also provide this form for free?

During the holidays we get to see family you may not see enough during the year. This may also be the time you notice a decline in their cognitive ability; you notice they’re struggling with stairs more, maybe they lost weight or don’t keep up with their appearances like they used to, or maybe you even feel uncertain about leaving them again.

STOP. Now is the time to have some hard conversations. Now is the time to check and see if they have their estate documents up to date so you can help them, should they decline more.
