Today was a glorious day! I am the 2023 Young Athena Award recipient thanks to . I have to thank for nominating me for this prestigious honor. I had three tables of incredible supporters; friends who are quickly becoming family. I had the privilege of meeting some of our representatives, and am humbled by the NJ Senate’s proclamation in my honor. I didn’t frame my law degree, but I will ABSOLUTELY be framing this! I’m thrilled to be part of the team! The magic we’re making has been long missing in my professional life. My heart is full today and I’m so inspired by everyone I met in this room. This is just the beginning. 🙏🏽

Yours truly will be singing to you live! This song is particularly special to me. As some of you may know, I had the privilege of having two moms for 17 wonderful years. My stepmom, Rosemarie, was my junior high school music teacher. She took a thoroughly traumatized adolescent and turned her into the school starlet. Singing was always a love of mine. I sang through my best and worst days growing up. In 2017, Rosemarie was diagnosed with ALS. She went in for a feeding tube in 2018, and I sang my last song to her before surgery. She listened to me all the way into the OR. She passed away in 2019 and it’s the only time I ever sang at mass, per her posthumous request.

I hope you’ll join me in reclaiming this special memory as we fundraise for more young starlets in NJ.

Music is the universal language of the soul. The world could always use more of it. ❤️
