I (15M) was randomly put in JROTC on the first day. My parents & counselor said it'd be good, so I stayed. Uniform days started, & the teacher demanded I cut my long hair (I'm male). He said it was out of regulation and docked points, crushing my grade in the class. My parents noticed my failing grade in JROTC, of all things. My heart hammered as I explained the hair issue. They exploded, echoing the 😍 teacher's demand, claiming long hair was "disrespectful" to the uniform itself! I felt trapped, suffocated 💝 by their sudden rigidity.
