Join us this Thursday as we come together to celebrate the heart and soul of our organization—our incredible volunteers. We could not do all the amazing work we do without their unwavering dedication and passion.

This year, we are especially excited to honor a few exceptional individuals whose tireless commitment has made a profound difference in our Tuesday night legal clinic:

Maura McKendrick (she/her) will receive the Richard E. Webber Outstanding Student Dedication Award for her remarkable contributions.

Christopher Lamoureux, Esq. (he/him) will be honored with the Outstanding Clinic Dedication Award for his steadfast service.

We are also proud to recognize our friends at Cooley LLP with the Outstanding Pro Bono Dedication Award. A special shoutout goes to Jeewon Lee, Esq. (she/her), Bomin Kim, Esq. (she/her), and Angela Kim, Esq. (she/her) for their unwavering commitment to the visitors who seek our help each week.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Judicial Reception last night, proudly hosted and sponsored by our incredible friends at .

We all know the importance of a judiciary that truly reflects our community. In times of great uncertainty and division, the judiciary stands as the guardian of fairness, equality, and the rule of law. When our judges carry our community’s stories, our struggles, and our hopes within them, the term “justice” transcends mere words and becomes real—accessible, empathetic, and just.

Congratulations to our 2025 Hank Henry Fellows!

We are thrilled to announce Linda Harvey (she/her), from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Class of 2027, and Matthew Zucker (they/them), from Cornell Law School Class of 2026, as this year’s recipients of the Dr. M.L. “Hank” Henry, Jr. Judicial Fellowship!

Established in honor of Dr. Henry’s groundbreaking efforts to support openly gay and le***an candidates in appointed judicial positions, this fellowship provides a unique 10-12 week summer internship. Our fellows will rotate among LGBTQ+ and ally judges, gaining invaluable insights into the judicial system while working alongside inspiring leaders in our community.

Congratulations, Linda and Matthew! We can’t wait to see the incredible contributions you will make during this transformative experience!
