I’m very excited to announce the publication of my book “PROTEST--Images From the Streets”. The book is a collection of 125 black and white images I shot between 1987 and 2024 of political demonstrations in the streets, mostly in New York and Washington, DC.
I’ve been a documentary and fine art photographer since 1980. In the mid-80’s I began documenting political and social demonstrations with my camera, from the massive 1987 Washington DC demonstration against Reagan’s Central America policies and South African Apartheid, to ACT-UP’s emotional 1988 NYC City Hall demonstration to the many pro-choice, gay rights, anti-apartheid, women’s rights, anti-police brutality and anti-racism demonstrations in the “80’s, 90’s, 00’s and the 10’s. The book takes the viewer right up to 2024 with some of the anti-Trump and Middle East protests.
The book is being published by Snap-Collective.com, “a Platform for visual artists, publishing high-quality art books worldwide.”

The book will be formally launched in the next 10 days and will be available for ordering online at the pre-publication price of 79 euros (about $85). The pre-publication price will only be available for 14 days after which the price will increase to 89 euros (about $95). Once the publisher receives a minimum of 75 pre-orders the book will go into print and delivered in 8-12 weeks. I’ll post the formal pre-publication announcement with ordering instructions in the next 10 days.
