NAICA took to the streets of The Bronx alongside our community at the 40th Annual Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade, a celebration of culture, pride, and the generations of families who have called this borough home. ❤️

For over 50 years, NAICA has been rooted in The Bronx and committed to the people of New York City. Moments like these remind us why. Our mission has always been bigger than services and programs. It lives in the streets, in the music, in the faces of the neighbors we serve and celebrate alongside every single day.

To every staff member who showed up, every neighbor who waved from the sidewalk, and every family who lined the streets with flags in hand, this one is for you.

Here's to 40 years of The Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade and to the many more celebrations ahead. 🎉🇵🇷

🌿 Bronx Beautification in action! Last Saturday, youth and community members came together at Franz Sigel Park for a day of clean-up, touch-ups, and good vibes. Sunny skies, smiling faces, and a park that's shining a little brighter. That's what community looks like.

🏆 NAICA is proud to celebrate a remarkable honor.
At the 40th Annual Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade Gala, NAICA's Chief Operating Officer, Richard Izquierdo Arroyo, was awarded the prestigious PADRINO recognition, one of the evening's most distinguished honors.

From being elected the youngest School Board member in his District's history at age 18, to founding charter schools, to leading and growing NAICA's operations, his journey has been defined by dedication, resilience, and love for all of our communities.

Presently, he continues that same mission, ensuring our organization delivers social services to the families and individuals who need them most. This recognition reflects not only his extraordinary record of public service, but his deep and enduring commitment to The Bronx Puerto Rican community.

NAICA congratulates Richard Izquierdo on this well-deserved honor and is proud to have his leadership, vision, and heart guiding the work ahead.

As part of the Neighborhood Preservation Program, NAICA hosted its first-ever partnership training and networking event — "Strengthening Partnerships through Collaboration," facilitated by: Ma Mukti

With over a dozen organizations from across New York City represented, partners engaged in embodied leadership development and organizing practices rooted in trust, shared accountability, and collective action.

Together, we strengthened referral pathways, aligned outreach efforts, and began building a durable infrastructure for collaboration that extends far beyond this program.

At NAICA, we know that caring for our community goes beyond the services we provide. It means creating space for joy, creativity, and connection. 💐

This week, the women of one of our residential facilities gathered for Stem & Steep, an exclusive afternoon of flower arranging and tea steeping. Guided by A Tribe Called Flowers, whose founder began her work by simply gifting flowers to strangers in the subway, guests crafted their own bouquets, explored tea blends with We Do It Too Community Fridge, and left with swag bags, bouquets, and a room full of good memories.

This is what community partnership looks like in action. Thank you to both organizations for bringing warmth to our clients and reflecting the values we stand for every day.
