The fight to end solitary confinement is coming to Louisiana. 🚍✨
The Journey to Justice Tour is making its next stop in New Orleans on October 3rd as part of the Impacted Solitary Survivors Council (ISSC) Retreat & Symposium: Inside Out – From Isolation to Action.
Right now, hundreds of thousands of people — including children — are being tortured in U.S. prisons, jails, and detention centers through solitary confinement. Deemed torture by the United Nations, its use is skyrocketing. The Journey to Justice Tour is building a movement to end solitary nationwide by blending artivism, public education, and immersive experiences that bring these realities to light.
💡 Step inside the skoolie, a repurposed school bus turned advocacy hub with a mobile library, life-sized solitary cell, and immersive exhibits.
📖 Engage with the new book Ending Isolation, written by directly impacted survivors and experts.
🎭 Experience powerful events led by people directly impacted — from film screenings and theater to concerts, human libraries, and panel discussions.
JAC is honored to stand alongside ISSC and partners in this critical fight. Together, we’re amplifying survivor voices, fueling change, and moving from isolation to action.
