I’m no drop ceiling expert. But something had to be done to get this space ready for artists to explore their creative spirits.

We were able to get this drop ceiling repaired and ready for summer classes at the new Art House Art Studio on 507 Po***ck Street.

No artist left behind. This space is going to be amazing for artists young and old as they plan to open an art cafe shortly and offer classes and events for all ages.

Modified exterior stair rebuild. These stairs were in bad shape. They had been beaten up by the sun and were held together with hopes and dreams.

I carefully removed the treads, and stringers. Then removed the balusters. Dug down and added concrete blocks as a base.

Originally this staircase had 8 steps. So I ordered 8 step stringers from Home Depot. Well those now were not placed right to where the original posts and rails were. These should have been 9 Step Stringers!

I pivoted and added an additional step and support for the new stringers with 2x8 lumbers and blocking.

I then got new 42” balusters and reattached to the original rail and posts.

The rest of the deck will need to be redone when budget allows but this fixes the huge safety hazard that was present with the original stairs.

I work by myself so I’ve figured out how to do the work of 2 or 3 men using the right tools and techniques. Yeah, I’m slow, but I do it right and I make it last.

This split system is 19 years old, using R22 (which you can’t get anymore) and is also not sized appropriately for the home. Ultimately this system needs to be replaced since it can’t keep up with the North Carolina heat, but I gave this a really good cleaning inside and out and this should last the property owner until next year.

Seasonal maintenance is critical in keeping these systems performing year after year without any major issues.
