Seeing lots of hype about ? AI in all its flavors is a huge augmentation for lawyers, like an "exosuit." It's not a substitute for human professionals with scarce skills and abilities: perception of nuance, adaptability, breadth of knowledge, self-awareness, and, most significantly, good judgment. This goes for court reporters, too.

Cloud Court's solutions utilize AI and rely on accurate, thorough, and consistently formatted records: transcripts of depositions, trials, and other proceedings. Today, and for the foreseeable future, litigation needs qualified professionals to be accountable for the record. While is evolving to automate more rote tasks and accelerate the production of transcripts, it is not a substitute for the value that trained, certified court reporters bring to the table.

I’m talking to you, deposition index. It’s me, Gibson.

Hey now! There, there. Shhhhhhh. It’s OK. You’ve had a good run. For years and years, you added value. A lot of value. And I mean that, deposition index. You were awesome.

You understood the importance of at least trying to find the most useful testimony in a transcript. Seriously, index, people consulted you. You helped them find some things. Maybe not everything, but some stuff. And let me tell you, Mister, that’s not nothing! You helped!
