Handmade by Neng Yang Neng Yang's Artistic Timeline 1960's:
Neng Yang began learning traditional Hmong needlework in her home country of Laos with her mother, A Moua.

Needlework techniques consisted of cross stitching, embroidery, and reverse applique. She first began her needlework on her tradition Green Hmong dresses.

1990's:
Neng Yang was inspired to begin large quilt work from her late sister-in-law Mai Lee Yang. Since then, Neng began to infuse her expertise of her traditional Hmong designs towards her newly learned skill of quilting, thus surfacing her

Hmong inspired quilts.

2000's:
In between her Hmong inspired quilt work, Neng ventured into creating Hmong dolls on a keychain, as a pin and as a play doll.

2010:
Neng finally debuts her Hmong inspired quilt work and Hmong dolls at the CHAT Arts Festival in August. Receiving rave reviews, she was able to gain the confidence she needed to begin showing her work on a larger scale.
