Eli Knuckles of Pineville wins the Class 1A Boys' High Jump at the 2026 Indoor Track and Field State Championships presented by UK HealthCare.

Very proud of this young man. He was initially denied eligibility to compete at Pineville this year by tge khsaa. We changed that! Clutch free throws clinched the 51st district for the Mtn. Lions on the court and now he’s a state CHAMPION!

Today, Mike Taylor Bell County Commonwealth Attorney and I, along with others from Southeastern Kentucky had the opportunity to meet FBI Director Kash Patel at an event arranged by Congressman Hal Rogers. Congressman Rogers announced new funding for area law enforcement and Director Patel brought a message of collaboration between local, state, and federal agencies to tackle numerous issues our area and nation face. We are thankful for the help our Federal partners can and do bring to us here in our area.

We worked hard on the Blessing Boxes for Thanksgiving this evening. 150 families will be fed for Thanksgiving thanks to the vision of my friend Candace and her plan. Glad to teach my kids the value of service. I asked Roman if I could help him and he said “No dad, I’ve got it!”
Together we can accomplish much!

Busy day today. Community cleanup downtown followed by tree decorating for the tinsel trail. The kids worked hard!

The downtown Middlesboro trick or treat is always a blast! I’m thankful we got to see our little spider man and Barbie with their friends. Our Happy Gilmore costume idea didn’t arrive on time so we improvised and the 6 7 was a hit with the kids (probably not their teachers). Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Halloween!

It’s been a great few days of training at the annual Prosecutor’s Conference. I’ll be back in the office and in the courtroom next week.
