๐Ÿšจ TAX REFUND ALERT ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ“ฒ

Next week is when refunds really start moving, so let me educate you before the panic posts take over ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

๐Ÿ”“ PATH ACT IS LIVE
If you claimed:
๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿฝ Dependents
๐Ÿ’ฐ Earned Income Credit (EIC)
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)

Your refund has been on a legal IRS hold. That hold is lifting. This happens every single year. Once PATH goes live, refunds release in waves ๐ŸŒŠ not all at once.

๐Ÿ“ˆ REFUND MOVEMENT YOUโ€™LL START SEEING
โœ… Transcripts updating
โœ… Status changing to Approved
โœ… Deposit dates populating
โœ… Banks showing pending deposits

This is the normal IRS process not delays, not problems, not errors.

๐Ÿฆ EARLY DEPOSIT EXPLAINED โฉ๐Ÿ’ต
Some banks allow tax professionals to see upcoming refund deposits up to 5 days in advance. That means we can see the deposit is scheduled before it actually hits your account and notify our clients ahead of time.

This does NOT mean the IRS paid you early.
It means the bank already has the deposit.

So if someone gets paid before you, that does NOT mean something is wrong ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿ›‘ IMPORTANT REMINDERS
โ€ข Refunds are released in batches
โ€ข WMR updates once per day ๐Ÿ”„
โ€ข Banks post deposits differently ๐Ÿฆ
โ€ข Approved โ‰  instant deposit โณ

๐Ÿ“ŒNext week is about movement. If you filed correctly and claimed PATH credits, your refund is in motion.

๐Ÿ“ข EITC & ACTC Refund Update โ€“ What You Need to Know

If you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), hereโ€™s the latest on when to expect your refund:

โœ… You can expect your refund by March 2 if:

1. You filed your return electronically or with a professional that files electronically
2. You selected direct deposit as your form of payment
3. You are in full compliance meaning no Identity Verification needed & thereโ€™s no missing info or holds on your refund

Some taxpayers may see their refunds earlier than some, that dont have certain credits. For most early EITC/ACTC filers, Whereโ€™s My Refund should show an updated status by February 21.

๐Ÿ’ก Keep in mind:
Your bank or card provider may need extra time to post your refund. Many financial institutions donโ€™t process deposits on weekends or holidays, so timing can vary.

๐Ÿ”’ Why refunds are held
By law, EITC and ACTC refunds canโ€™t be issued before mid-February. This hold applies to your entire refund, not just the credit portion.
If more information is needed, youโ€™ll receive a letter.

๐Ÿ“ฒ How to track your refund

๐Ÿ”น Your Online IRS Account

๐Ÿ”น Whereโ€™s My Refund

๐Ÿ”น IRS2Go App

Refund statuses update once daily, usually overnight, so checking more than once a day wonโ€™t speed things up but it can very well hinder things
