Okay friend… can we talk about closing costs for a second? Because nobody explains these well.

Imagine you’re buying a house for $500,000. You might think, “Great! I have my down payment. I’m good to go.”

Not quite.

Closing costs are basically all the behind the scenes expenses that make the purchase official. Think of them like the taxes and fees when you buy concert tickets. You know how the ticket is one price, but by the time you check out it’s a little more? Same idea… just with a house.

These costs can include things like:
• Your lender’s fees
• The appraisal
• Title and escrow
• Recording fees
• Prepaid property taxes and homeowners insurance

The good news? None of this should be a surprise. Before you close, you’ll get a detailed breakdown showing exactly where every dollar is going.

And here’s something a lot of people don’t know….sometimes we can negotiate for the seller to help cover some or even all of those closing costs.
