Laura's Heartbeat My name is Laura Dolquest. My sole existence, my every heartbeat, is to be reunited with my 4 younge My name is Laura. I was devastated.

In 2011 I lost custody of my 5 children to my ex-husband. The judge granted him custody on the grounds he was more mentally and financially stable. During the 6 years of our marriage I was a stay-at-home mom & I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after the birth of my 2nd child. I began drinking when my children weren't with me to fill the void. I felt like life as I knew it was over. Little did

I know, things were to get worse. In 2012, my ex told me 3 days before they left, he & his new wife were moving with my kids to Georgia. By the time I was able to get an emergency hearing, they were gone & enrolled in school. My drinking got a lot worse but there was no escaping the pain & emptiness I felt. I ended up getting a DUI after the kids left again after visiting for Christmas & was ultimately given supervised visitation until completing rehab. This was 2 years ago in May. I am now 2 years sober & am fighting to see them again. My ex has denied my visitation since court & I am struggling to hire a lawyer to take him to court once more. It's been over a year and 1/2 since I've seen my babies. Thank you for supporting me in my fight to get them back.

I have really gone through some tough trials this year; a divorce, tragedy, rebuilding my life again, but through it all I have tried to remember what I have to live for. I’ve tried to stay busy and keep taking steps one day at a time. But don’t think for a minute Makenzie I didn’t think about about you the WHOLE DAY August 15th when you turned 13, or Gabe when you turned 11 on March 31st, or Maddie when you turned 12 April 8th, or Nathen when you turned 15 April 19th. I’ve been trying to keep myself super busy and occupied so I don’t get caught up, but know that I think of you EVERY day, even though it’s hard for me to talk about. I love you infinity times infinity times infinity!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

But I’m working SO hard to prove myself worthy before judgement in ANYONE’S eyes, that I was the best mother anyone could be, emotional issues or not because ALL OF YOU come before me. I loved you before you were ever even born and I ALWAYS will and I won’t stop until I can hold you and look you in the EYES to tell you, each and every one of you, Nathen, MaKenzie (Kaylyn told me you like to use a capital K), Maddie (I would have taught you to spell it Maddy. I never forget, but this year I did something new besides lay in the bed and cry all day for your birthday. All of this school is because I’m working my way back to you guys but this year student service day was on your birthday so I celebrated with you, as hard as it was, and got all kinds off little salon services. Made for a nice Monday at school but it’s been crazy since until I took my test. You’d be proud, I made a 100. Gosh, I can’t believe that you’re 11! I hope one of you guys find this page soon..
