In 13 years as a special education lawyer, I have worked alongside a lot of intervention teams. Patty and the team at EKZ Resources are among the most effective I have ever seen.
The work speaks for itself. When a young child is struggling in an early-childhood classroom, EKZ's Rapid Response Team gets a therapist in the door within 1–2 weeks — not the months long wait that has become standard elsewhere in our region. They coach the teacher, support the family, and keep the child in care while the rest of the system catches up. The results they deliver are unmatched.
This is the moment where a child's entire school experience gets set on a trajectory — for better or for worse. Funding EKZ makes a meaningful difference in a young child's life at exactly the point it matters most.
