Today I completed the fingerprint consultation that I posted about last week. Another person stating that the fingerprints that were taken related to a crime were not theirs Yup I thought easy peasy. I will just take inked prints from the client and compare them to the inked prints of the person who was booked. The booking card had 90% whorls. As I am rolling the prints of the client I am rolling whorl after whorl. I remember the look I gave to the attorney like I think these are the clients prints......Sort of a sour smile. Until I get to the left index...A plain as day loop pattern. The card taken in Chicago many years ago had no loop patterns and upon closer examination the whorl patterns were different also. Somebody in the gov. made a big mistake stating that the prints were hers. This is why I still consult. I do not charge as much as others but the smile on the client's face when I told her the prints were not hers was priceless. Love it!
