• Individuals contribut

• Non-profits submit a simple application asking how organizations will spend $50,000 and engage 100 potential advocates/volunteers
• Members join committees based on giving focus areas to review applications and determine a finalist through site-visits and in-depth vetting of the organizations
• Members vote on the finalists May 2014
• Members and the non-profit recipient celebrate with an award ceremony in June 2014
How can I join?
• Members are required to contribute $502 by April 15th, reside in the Louisville/Southern Indiana region and be between the ages of 21 and 40. What does membership involve?
• Members get a hands-on and behind-the-scenes engagement with nonprofits who submit applications
• Members work collectively to decide the most important needs of the community
• Members meet others with a shared investment in making Louisville a better place
• Members grow as leaders and connect with change-makers in the community
• Members celebrate with others at the final voting and granting parties in Spring 2014
How do I pay/Can I pay my membership in installments?
• Make an online contribution through the Community Foundation of Louisville’s website (www.cflouisville.org)
• Set-up monthly payments through your bank directed to the Community Foundation of Louisville - noting [give] 502
• Corporate matching is welcome (up to 50% of the annual contribution)
Is my contribution tax deductible?
• Yes. Can I encourage nonprofits to apply?
• Yes. All members should encourage nonprofits they are familiar with to apply. However, [give] 502 members will not be assigned to review nonprofits they are affiliated with during the grant review process. What if a nonprofit I support isn’t selected?
• The winner will be decided by a vote of all eligible members of [give] 502. This may mean that an issue you are passionate about or a nonprofit you work with is not selected.
